Last updated: 25 October 2026. This policy explains what QuirePDF does with your files and your data, in plain terms.

Files you process

Every tool on this site runs inside your web browser. When you choose a file, it is read by your own device and processed by JavaScript running on your own device. The result is created in your browser's memory and offered to you as a download.

• Your files are not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else's.
• We do not receive, store, copy, index, back up or read your files, or anything inside them.
• Passwords you type into a tool stay in your browser and are used only to open that file.
• Closing or reloading the page discards the working data.

The tool code and the open-source libraries it uses are downloaded from this website when you open a tool. That download is the only thing that crosses the network; your documents are not part of it.

Information collected automatically

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages keeps standard request logs, which typically include:

• IP address
• Browser and operating system (the user-agent string)
• The page requested, the time, and the response status
• The referring page, where your browser sends one

These logs are kept by our web hosting provider for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults, for a limited period. They are never combined with your files, because we never receive your files.

Cookies and analytics

The site itself does not require cookies to function — you can use every tool with cookies disabled. Analytics and advertising, where enabled, may set their own. The cookie policy lists what is set and by whom.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising, which may include Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and find out more at Google's advertising policies. Advertisers never receive your files or anything from inside them, because those never leave your device.

Fonts

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google's servers to fetch them, which makes your IP address visible to Google for that request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the UK or EU GDPR, or laws such as the CCPA — you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data held about you, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because no account exists and your files are never received, there is generally very little to act on. Requests go to our contact page.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top will change and the new version will appear here.
