About the JPG to PNG tool
Some programs, designs and upload forms insist on PNG, or you want to edit a picture without adding more JPG compression each time you save it. Converting to PNG stores the image losslessly from this point on.
Remember that converting does not restore detail JPG already discarded, and PNG files of photographs are much larger. Use it when the format is required, not to improve quality.

Questions
JPG to PNG FAQ
Does JPG to PNG improve quality?
No. The detail JPG discarded is gone. PNG simply stops further loss and may be required by some programs.
Why is the PNG so much bigger?
PNG stores every pixel without lossy compression, so photographs take far more space. If size matters, stay with JPG or WEBP.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The work happens in your browser, on your own device, so the file is never sent to a server. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
